Nothing in this state moves until you say so.

A sample night from the Lights Out demo workspace — not a customer record, and not an average.

The log

One night, in lines.

Nothing here is a summary. This is the shape of a real night: a few hundred small, boring, timestamped actions, each one attributable to an order you wrote. The reason it is worth reading once is that you will never read it again.

Limits

What it will never do.

An agent that can do anything is an agent you have to sit and watch. Most of these are enforced in the product rather than promised in the documentation, which means Lights Out cannot be talked into them at three in the morning by a cleverly worded email.

It will not move money.

No transfers, no payments, no card details. It can flag an invoice; you pay it.

It will not sign anything.

Contracts, terms and legal documents are escalated, never executed.

It will not contact someone you have not approved.

Outbound is limited to recipients already in your approved set.

It will not delete.

Archiving and closing are reversible. Deletion is not, so it is off by default and cannot be switched on for mail or CRM.

It will not widen its own access.

A new verb needs you awake. It asks once, in the morning report, never at 03:00.

It will not act on a rule it half-understands.

Ambiguous orders are held and quoted back to you rather than guessed at.

It will not work the day shift unless you say so.

Quiet hours are the default. It sleeps while you work.

A night scene: a boundary fence running away into the dark, and a small figure stopped short of it, facing it. The ground beyond is empty.
Pixel-art dawn over the campsite: embers, a closed laptop, and the agent watching the sun come up

Your move

Hand off the night.
Keep the morning.

Start with one standing order and one shadow night — it runs without touching anything and shows you what it would have done. If the report is not worth reading, cancel before the second night.

Lights out at 21:00, your time
